“Appreciate small successes in doing worksheets to see where I can do better today than last time”

At Kumon I could study content beyond my school grade level because students can study according to their individual abilities and potential regardless of school grade or age. And, I was one of beyond school grade students and found that studying beyond school grade level helped my study at school smoothly. As a result, I could achieve 100 scores in ONET examination when I was in Secondary 3 and then enter to the faculty of Pharmacy as I wished finally.

I set my study goal to complete the final level of Kumon. To achieve study goal, anyone can do it by having discipline, effort, consult and plan together with instructor, including giving yourself encouragement and the most important thing in achieving that goal is family.

Although I’m studying in the university now, I still use skills I acquired from Kumon, such as planning to do anything like before the exam, I will plan to study according to the time available. Since the content of studying in the university is quite difficult, it’s necessary to have discipline, concentration on the content you’re studying and if you don’t have effort, you will not be able to learn anything.

Secret of my smooth study at Kumon
1) Let’s not put too much pressure on ourselves because Kumon is a learning system according to each student’s abilities without comparing with anyone.
2) Try doing worksheets by yourself. In case you still don’t understand the content, you can consult with Kumon instructor at any time. If you keep it, it will be more difficult for you to study the next content.
3) Reflect yourself and appreciate the small successes in every set of worksheets you do. Find any areas where you can do better today than last time. And, parents must help encourage their children as well.
